A Timely Boost For Team Dynamos

A £1500 grant will allow Leeds based Team Dynamos to enter their new junior team into the Garforth Junior League, as well as providing the opportunity to develop their volunteer workforce with FA Level 2 and Youth Award qualifications.

As well as working with West Riding County FA, the club have been supported by Paul Senior and Jay Minott from Leeds City Council’s Sport and Active Lifestyles team who have offered invaluable help in finding training and playing facilities.

The £1500 “Grow The Game” grant is the result of a joined up initiative from The Premier League, The FA and Football Foundation. The programme is designed to increase participation in our national game by helping clubs to meet the essential costs of starting new teams.

Steve Dorey, Football Development Officer at West Riding County FA commented:

“It’s fantastic for the club to receive this grant as it will have a huge impact for young people in the area. Their main purpose is for everyone to enjoy the game and they operate an open door policy for any young person to join. With teams at U9, U14 and U17, there are already over 40 young people regularly involved and participating in football from the local area and the intention for future years is to continue to grow their player base whilst also attracting new volunteers”
