At Leeds City Council we know sometimes the gym isn’t for everyone and that’s why we’ve teamed up with National Governing Bodies to give you the opportunity to re-engage with the Sport you loved at school and to give you the chance to try something new.
Learn to play badminton on our beginner Essentials course by No Strings Badminton. Don’t worry about the racket, you get one as part of the course delivered by qualified coaches aimed at adults wanting to try something new. The six week courses are available at Armley Leisure Centre and Scott Hall Leisure for £41.40 or £34.20 with a Leedscard.
If you want to play badminton in a relaxed social environment, why not try our No Strings Badminton. Come along as a group or come alone and play badminton at Armley Leisure Centre for only £3, or better, Premier Bodyline Members can play for free!
Playing a game not enough? Smash Up mashes up badminton, mates and music for young people who want to enjoy the Sport. Check it out at Armley Leisure Centre for only £3 or free with a Premier Bodyline Membership.
If badminton isn’t your thing then, Back to Netball may be for you. Join this gentle reintroduction to the game of netball for women over 16. Sessions are led by qualified coaches who will cover basic skills such as passing and footwork in a fun way and at your own pace. Just turn up at Armley Leisure Centre, John Smeaton Leisure Centre, Morley Leisure Centre or Rothwell Leisure Centre, pay £3 and play for the hour.
