Following on from the huge success of the Leeds City Centre Skyride, Skyride Local was created. Skyride Local is an inclusive cycling scheme run in partnership between British Cycling and Leeds City Council.
Skyride Local has seen a huge number of rides delivered across the city. There are three grades of rides easy going, steady rides and difficult so something for everyone.
A sunny and crisp Sunday morning saw one of the last easy rides of the season leaving Thwaite Mills and riding up to the Royal armouries. A fantastic mix of young and old completed the route with plenty of smiles along the way.
An additional element to the Thwaite Mills ride was a bike fix session before at the Hunslet Club which encouraged members of the community to get their bikes maintained and road worthy.
The next Skyride Local is Roundhay Park Easy Loop on Sunday 14 September starting at 2pm, for more information or to book a place go to http://www.goskyride.com/leeds
