“Mental health isn’t just about medication, it’s about the person’s life”

A Big Lottery funded project delivered by Leeds City Council and Leeds Mind, to enable mental health service users the opportunity to use physical activity to help promote their recovery process as well as helping them develop confidence and encourage users to access leisure centres.

The project has been used to develop training for leisure centre staff to develop learning and understanding through training provided by Leeds Mind.

Partnership working has been key to enabling to provide a variety of opportunities once that they have completed their recovery.
